Champions League Final Preview
Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid

Match Result (back the draw at odds of 11/5 with Bet Victor):
The last four meetings between these sides have produced one win each and two draws. They have each scored a total of two goals in the process. Two of the last four Champions League Finals have ended level after 90 minutes while one of the others was level until an 89th minute winner settled it in Bayern Munich’s favour. If the scores are level towards the end of this game, both sides would probably rather take an additional 30 minutes than risk losing it late on. Odds of 11/5 are worth taking for Real and Atletico to cancel each other out in 90 minutes.

To Lift the Trophy (back Real Madrid at odds of 8/11 with Bet Victor*):
Real Madrid have won 10 of their 13 European Cup finals while Atletico have reached two finals, losing both (including the extra-time defeat to Real Madrid two years ago). Real Madrid have scored 27 goals in this season’s Champions League, 11 more than Atletico. They have also conceded two fewer than Atletico. Atletico have registered under 30% possession in each of their last four Champions League games and they are likely to soak up the pressure once more and attempt to hit Real on the break. That being the case, their high-intensity pressing game could cause fatigue among their players, particularly if the game goes beyond 90 minutes.

*Note: New Coral customers can back Real Madrid to lift the trophy at 7/1 (£5 bet only, winnings paid in free bets)

Correct Score (back 1-1 at odds of 11/2 with Bet Victor):
The last four matches between Real and Atletico have produced a total of just four goals and therefore a goal-fest seems unlikely on Saturday. Atletico Madrid had easily the best defensive record in La Liga this season while Real Madrid have kept 10 clean sheets in 12 Champions League matches this term. It is difficult to see either side conceding more than once on Saturday. However, Atletico have only kept one clean sheet in their last seven matches away from the Vicente Calderon and therefore Real will be confident of finding a breakthrough at the San Siro. Atletico’s sheer will and desire, accompanied by a significant goal-threat of their own, makes odds of 11/2 seem more than reasonable for a 1-1 correct score after 90 minutes.

First Goalscorer (back Cristiano Ronaldo at odds of 4/1 with Bet Victor**):
Cristiano Ronaldo is just one goal short of his own record of 17 goals in a Champions League campaign and he could become only the second player to score in three European Cup finals. He is also set to become the competition's top scorer for a fourth successive season. Ronaldo has scored 51 goals in 49 appearances this season and he has scored 15 goals in 24 games against Atletico, eight of which were scored in the opening 25 minutes. In a game that is unlikely to see goals aplenty, the value is in backing a first goalscorer as opposed to an anytime scorer at much-reduced odds (as low as 8/15 in some places).

**Note: New Betfair customers can back Ronaldo to score at anytime in 90 minutes at 7/1 (£10 max, winnings paid in free bets)

Betting Preview

Rangers v Hibernian
Both Rangers and Hibs have had some disappointing results lately but, while Hibs have been (ultimately unsuccessfully) battling for promotion, Rangers have been able to take their foot off the gas having secured the Championship title over six weeks ago. Despite seemingly taking it easy in the last few games, Rangers finished the season 11 points clear of their nearest rivals and a cup win would earn them qualification for the Europa League next term on their return to the SPL. Hibs have won just six of their last 20 matches in all competitions (D6, L8) and they have lost six of their last nine away from Easter Road (W1, D2).

Crystal Palace v Man Utd
Crystal Palace won just two of their 21 Premier League matches since Christmas (D7, L12) and, although they have reserved their best results for the FA Cup this year, they will arrive at Wembley with more hope than belief. Man Utd, meanwhile, have won eight of their last 11 matches in all competitions (D1, L2) and an FA Cup win on Saturday is their last opportunity to salvage something from another highly disappointing season. Although United have struggled to score goals this season, no Premier League side conceded fewer times. They rarely entertain these days but they have enough quality in their squad to break down Palace's defence and one goal might just be enough.

AC Milan v Juventus
Milan finished the season in seventh place on the Serie A table, 34 points behind champions Juventus. Milan have won just two of their last 11 matches (D4, L5). Juventus, meanwhile, have won 29 of their last 32 domestic matches (D1, L2) and they are hoping to become the first Italian side to complete back-to-back domestic doubles having ended the season nine points clear at the top of the Serie A table. Juventus have won every one of the last eight meetings between these two sides.
