QPR v Blackburn
QPR have enjoyed a decent start to the new season having taken nine points from their first five Championship games and successfully negotiated their way through the first two rounds of the League Cup. They have won eight of their last 11 home matches in all competitions and they will be keen to take advantage of Blackburn's poor start to the 2016/2017 season. One point from five games has left Blackburn at the very foot of the Championship table and they have now been installed as the bookies' favourites for relegation this term. They have managed just two league wins in 15 attempts away from home since December 2015 (D4, L9) and they have scored a total of just seven goals along the way.
Millwall v Coventry
Millwall missed out on promotion to the Championship last season after a defeat to Barnsley in the League One Playoff Final at Wembley in May. Millwall are now unbeaten in 12 home league games (W9, D3) and they have conceded a total of just four goals during that run (scored 23). They are the bookies' favourites for the League One title this season and they are currently sitting in fourth place on the table after a promising start to the new season. Coventry, meanwhile, have not won any of their six league matches this season (D3, L3) and they have scored a total of just two goals along the way. They have also lost nine of their 13 league matches away from home since early January (W2, D2),
Luton v Grimsby
Luton are the bookies' second-favourites for the League Two title this season and they are currently odds-on with some firms to achieve promotion to League One. They currently find themselves at the very top of the table and they have won eight of their last 12 league matches (D2, L2). Grimsby, meanwhile, have lost five of their last seven matches in all competitions (W1, D1) and they have lost four of their five away games this season (W0, D1). Grimsby earned promotion to League Two via the National League Playoffs thanks in no small part to a terrific run of form between November and March. Their results since then will be of some concern to the Grimsby fans and genuine optimism is likely to be in short supply for the the trip to Luton on Saturday afternoon.
